Raisul Shafkat, a 2022 GYLC Youth Climate Champion from Bangladesh, represented the youth voice at a regional agroecology exchange program in Sri Lanka as part of the APEX (Asian People Exchange Agroecology) cohort. Joining 30 young delegates from across Asia, Raisul participated in field visits to observe innovative eco-friendly farming techniques and engaged in discussions on how sustainable agriculture directly tackles climate change.
During the exchange, Raisul presented his work in Bangladesh, focusing on youth-led agroecology projects in the Comilla region executed in partnership with local NGO SHISUK. His story illustrated how grassroots leadership and sustainable practices can build resilient communities.
