Youth Leading Climate Action (YLCA Comilla), as part of the SHERAA network and in partnership with Bohnishikha, hosted a community consultation at the SHISUK office in Daudkandi. The session convened 30 grassroots women leaders from the Shishuk Anannya Nari Unnayan Sangstha to position rural women at the center of local climate adaptation strategies.
During the interactive workshop, participants took ownership of their community planning by constructing social maps (village maps), diagnosing localized climate vulnerabilities, and co-creating sustainable adaptation plans tailored to their everyday realities. Facilitated by YLCA youth leaders Mahima, Sumaiya, Sadia, and Anna Mollik, the consultation emphasized how women act as frontline responders, driving community resilience and localized climate governance.
